About me
I work primarily with adults, adolescents and couples. I am dedicated to helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, insomnia and anger responses, as well as helping couples develop healthier communication patterns. I am a Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Kansas Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am also a member of the Biofeedback Certification Alliance.
Training & experience
I have over 15 years of experience as a professional counselor in private practice. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Neurofeedback, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia). I have completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and is board certified in neurofeedback. Prior to opening a private practice, I worked in the social services field while at Boystown and The Salvation Army. I also previously taught in the Psychology Department for College of Saint Mary and in the Graduate Education Department at University of Nebraksa.
