About me
I’m a psychotherapist in private practice licensed in NY and NJ with over a decade of experience. I specialize in treating anxiety and insomnia. My own struggle with insomnia led me to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and I was my own first CBT-I patient. It worked so well that I became a CBT-I practitioner. My patients also appreciate how well CBT-I works, and how quickly.
In nearly all the patients I’ve treated for insomnia, I observe a strong tendency for perfectionism. To provide more lasting help, I’ve enhanced core CBT-I with sessions on mindfulness, positive neuroplasticity and emotional regulation skills.
Sleep is so fundamental to our well-being, and it can get off-balance easily. One of my greatest professional joys is when my patients report that they’re sleeping better and feeling in control of their sleep system after our course of CBT-I treatment. I’m happy to report that for the clients who lean into the work, our results track better than the treatment average – 90% have restored natural sleep.
