About me

Is anxiety, worry, sadness or a racing mind impacting you too often, maybe affecting you day and night? Perhaps you are struggling to cope with changes or uncertainties in your life and experiencing inconvenient or scary symptoms? Or maybe you just feel stressed, out of sorts, overwhelmed, confused, weary or burned out. If you are ready for the support you deserve, you have come to the right place! Offering a wide scope of techniques tailored to help you (including hard to find cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I)), I look forward to walking beside you on your journey to live your best life.
My CBT-I certification and many years' experience caring for adult's mental health will help maximize your chances of feeling better. Together we will explore solutions customized for you and your needs. We will build upon your progress with attention aimed at restoring your satisfaction and peace of mind in areas that currently feel strenuous.
I know taking the leap into therapy can feel intimidating! I believe I can help you make the most out this experience and hope to provide insight, tools and support along the way. Ideally some laughs, too! If you are ready to take a chance on me and this process, I will do my best to enable you to find what you seek including feeling like your best self.

Training & experience

I have a B.A., and MSW from the University of Michigan. I have been licensed by the State of Michigan as an LMSW since 2008  and have devoted myself to the study and practice of adult mental health and well-being since graduating in 2006. I specialize in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety disorders, OCD, grief and loss, caregiver stress, living with chronic illness, older adult mental health and dementia, and depression. In my experience as a social worker in both cardiovascular and geriatric medicine, my goal was to help patients explore the connections between chronic illness and their mental health. Lack of sleep, anxiety, depression, and difficulty coping have remained themes in my work, and I hope my knowledge and experience can help you thrive.

I believe that therapy helps. Even if you have no idea how it could or where to start, our work will reveal its own path. I also believe that therapy does take commitment but it can be fun and enriching. I always value the effort that my clients put into their therapy and in exchange, my clients can expect that I will always be professional, supportive, trust-worthy, engaged and positive.
